The Tastings Room

I find the menu too expensive so we only ordered egg benedicts.
But I heard that the owner's changing its concept so the prices are lowered significantly!!

The ambiance is casual but more atas than most, service was meh.
Also, it felt like there's an unwritten rule that everyone should hush and behave all prim and proper :o
Probably because of the price..?

The quality's good, but still, just the food alone isn't enough to convince me of value of the price.
Now thatI know the exhorbidant prices are out of the way, I'll definitely go back!
Plus I do like the interior,
I like black walls (:

Poached Eggs with Parma Ham

The egg is poached perfectly with yolk oozing out as my knife runs into it - a really pleasant and inviting sight
I ordered this cos of parma ham! PARMA HAM's like the ultimate king of all food savory

Poached Eggs in Red Wine Hollandaise

Served with buttery hollandaise red wine reduction alongside bacon strips.
The toast is crusty, bacon's crispy, yolk's runny, & the greens are fresh - everything on the plate is (Y)

Between the 2, this is the winner for me,
because the awesomesauce(heh!) brought everything nicely together.

Notice how my smile is minimal
My eyebags were swollen so it's ucomfortable when I smile ):

But still I want to pose with my food lol!
   Ciaossu~

Deluxe ten-don

The batter is really really light which I like, but I find the set too boring?
It's just fried ingredients atop rice, not very interesting.

I'd never been a fan of ten-don anw so.. am just contented to spend my precious weekend w boyfee (:

Chiso Zanmai

Last day of Semester 1..
Pic taken in class w a slice of Pizza, thanks to Lynette our lecturer for the treat! (:
One day before, a few of us made plans for lunch buffet after school so I stopped after two slices.
A pity! Cos I like pizzas, but the value-for-money weekday lunch buffet at Chiso Zanmai totally made up for it. (:

Notable food items:
Corn croquette - It's so soft and sweet on the inside. My happy food (:
Curry - The curry was really thick and I rmb one of my classmate likes it so much she drenched it all over her rice!
Stewed beef - YUMMIEST item out of everything. If you'd looked closely, you would notice that I went for it twice <3
La Opera(right of the panna cotta) - The amount of layers are a good giveaway on how interesting the texture is. It's a perfect finale to the buffet, fun textures wakes me up from the dulling amount of food I've been putting into my mouth for the past hour.
Before we leave, a picture of everyone present!
And when we do leave...

Remember to remove the card from the stand and place it on the table so that it can be cleared! (:

Utensils are served in a mini pail wahahaha so cute!
The cafe is full of trickets *Sparkly eyed*
The menu reminds me of my mugging days lolol
Pached eggs $15
I thought there's no way I would be full after two poached eggs and some salmon on toast so we ordered a dessert to share, to be served later.
As it turn out, I was full! We were full! Probably because fo the thick toast? omnomnom
It is soooo good I thik it deserves another closeup! Hahaha
Flourless cake with vanilla ice cream
Both of us couldn't finish this, such a pity.
I looooove love love flourless chocolate cake cos it's taste 99% of chocolate.
Pictures around the cafe.
We find the sofa seats uncomfortable to eat in as it's paired/accompanied with a low coffee table.
But overall, a great place to chill with friends!
My birthday present this year! :D
I specifically asked for a earpiece and I got a pink one!
The color's so pretty heehee
Big love to lengleng for the present and for taking me to the cafe. <3

SIMGE Open House Sept 2013

I'm in an extreme good mood right now \(●⌒∇⌒●)/

Heehee I just woke up from crashing after Open House ytd.
It was my first time at any open houses.
My first time, and I was there as a student ambassador. How unexpected? Haha

The experience was one of a kind(in a good way).
I not only survived it but also enjoyed it!
I didn't know it could be this fun even though I'm only helping out and sharing my experience. It's quite cool actually hehs

& I didn't tell anyone outside school(cept for le loverboy) cos it just wasn't something my friends/family would expect me to be part of?
Tbh, I even surprised myself.
These are what went through my mind when I was making my way to school:

Not that I find being a student ambassador an adversity. Laughs.
The lemons and negativeness in my case would be my introversion.

I remember the time in Kindergarten during playtime.
Everyone, clutching toys, would bustle around
while the too-shy meek little me play alone...

I still hold a fond memory of that castle in pastel palettes. It was the most beautiful thing in the room. (:
My teacher was my only friend.

But I digress. Being an introvert, I'd missed so many chances I could've taken.
To speak my mind and to fight for things I want, among other stuffs.
I figured, I'm too big to let it set me back anymore. I had to make a change. I want to.
This is the start. Next, I wna go out there and do something.
Volunteer works, charity events etc. Making a difference. We'll see.

Ytd, given that it was my first big step, I was scared out of my wits at the thought of interacting with people ><
God, I even wished that nobody comes up to me.. which is ridiculous lol
I'm super super thankful Nisha's there with me. My mental support (';
It's sad when she had to leave halfway but I know she stayed as long as she could to keep me company.
Hope she gets well soon <3

What I'm about to say is as flameworthy as using 'swag' but seriously, YOLO.
You only live once, and I plan to make the most out of it.
Baby steps everyday. Peace out!
