Flor Patisserie at Duxton hill

Finally.. reached Duxton Hill. Flor Patisserie was easier to locate than expected (:

 

Setup

I'm sorry I forgot the name of the drink so try asking for purple liquid when you're there kays? lolol

The drink is mildly sweet & goes doubtlessly well with the cakes. I'm no gourmet so you just had to try it for yourself. The drink is significently sour too which is nothing else but helpful in refreshing my tastebud for a tasting session.

Mont Blanc モンブラン

This is the first I took & it's my favourite!
I never liked chestnut but surprisingly I loved the cream! It's not too sweet & really rich yet light. It's like I can eat the cream on itself str8 from a tub! Sandwiched by the crisp & flaky puff pastry which is awesomely made it sorta melts in my mouth! Plus, it's a little salty, really grateful for that as I do not have a sweet tooth. The sweet & salty combi made it more enjoyable for me (: 

 

Berry choux, Thé vert, Cacao Royal, & Month Blanc respectively.

Thé vert テベール is a must-try for green tea lovers! I had fun exploring the different 'layers of green tea'.

 

Classic chocolate, Earl Grey Chocolat, Napoleon, Strawberry Soufflé respectively.

Napoleon is Yx's favourite & as far as I know, one of the popular items at Flor Patisserie.
The chef introduced the Strawberry Soufflé 苺スフレ with a great passion. He is Japanese & we were told that in Japan, a chef's skills are determined by the Strawberry Soufflé he/she made.

 

More beckoning cakes which comes trays after trays! :D 

 

That's my second favourite cake: Cacao Royal カカオロイヤル on the left. 

Description:
Dark chocolate sponge alternately layered with thick chocolate ganache, covered in rich chocolate glaze and topped with fresh berries.

Chocolate fan here, I can vouch that this could be one of the better choc cakes around!

She took two more pieces after i took this shot thinking that she finally had reached her limit lol
She confessed that she could eat more if not for the 'takeaway pastries'. She thought that if she didn't hurry she wouldn't be able to get some of them home. lol this girl really tickle my funny bone sometimes xoxo

Not only are there more than enough pastries to go around, everyone went home with 6 more pieces of pastries too! :D

Velocity

eeeeeeeks. IRAS stalked my mum's bank account !!!

IRAS requested the bank to have my mum's account closed(idk the correct term) & absorb any money that's deposited inside, to pay off the interest we owe. sobs.

 

After weeks/months of saving up, finally got enough money to pay all the taxes! yay~
(That's the IRAS building behind btw)

Fish & Co., Ajisen

This month's anniversary.
Before reality hits us.

 

Took rubbery bands from S, just for fun. 

 

This should have been a happy & upbeat post.
But I don't feel like faking it.

 

Settled down at Fish&Co. because we missed the calamari. 

 

I miss seeing 'meat' on him.
 In just a few weeks he lost so much weight he's so bony now. Anorexia mebbe. soon.

I actually like Ajisen's dumplings because of their sauce! (vinegar+soy sauce+?)

 

 Hooked on IMM's Spicy ramen.
So spicy so shiok (ps I cannot find a better way to describe it) :D

Life as a seesaw

 

I think the world is fair.. to some extend.

The almighty made life a seesaw for me.
When one side goes up, the other side's sure to come dropping down.

I found a good job. I'm really happy with the company, my colleagues, the jobscope, & my superior.
If I can just be on my best conduct, I should have no problem getting a scholarship next year. In addition,
the current company I'm working for offer good annual bonuses. For recent years, employees have been getting 6-10 month's bonus. If you know how to do math, one can easily get a five digit bonus home.

Getting this job brings great relieve to my family as we'd always been hard up financially.
So yeaaa I gues my seesaw is overboardly unbalanced.
& naturally the other side came tumbling down as well...

For those of you who'd read reviews for Flor Patisserie online(I'm pretty positive reviews are mostly positive kekes) & am interested to visit them..
You can take the mrt to Tanjong pagar & walk about 8 minutes to Flor patisserie OR
You can also take a bus 197 from Jurong East Bus interchange, alight at people's park complex & walk about 9 minutes to reach.

Hazel got hers first & I was soooooo envious! I even made a mental list to bribe her with so that she'd exchange hers with my tamagotchi
(confirm uglier than hers cos she got the prettiest one).
Heyho! I got the same one hahhas! So happy laaaaa! :D

 

It's now hanging on my Dcammy. Spent everyday in my palms, receiving much loves from me. hehs.

 

I named it XIAOXIAO (small small in chinese)

 

& naturally ... Hazel's became DADA (Bigbig in chinese)
