Fried Mars Bar

Bf came to town to fetch me after my lesson!
Since we're in town we might as well walk around la hehee

 

First stop: Far East Plaza!

 

Tried the Fried Mars Bar/balls(?) that everyone's raving about.
I thought it's equally YUMMY as it is SINFUL. Do the equation yourself hahaa!

 

Then, walked to Takashimaya!

I won myself a $20 voucher back when I was still in TP but I lost it alr *bangshead

 

Next we had the main course: Yakisoba!

Nice! Lots of japanese sweets, snacks, foodie at the basement of Taka!
I super like the macarons♥ Go try EVERYTHING when you're there kays!

Lastly, calling our dinner date a day with the entrée: Yakitori.
ToriQ's got mad good chicken and meatballs!^^

QQ Noodle House QQ麵家

QQ Noodle house, mumsie saw their commercial and wanted to give it a try so I brought her to their Bugis Outlet! (:

Mum put her foot down on this dish the moment she saw it as the star of the menu.

The handmade Sarawak egg noodle is really as 'QQ' and as springy as it's advertised! I admit I was a little taken aback when I had my first bite. Because everyone knows commercials are forever exaggerating one lol

 

I had the mini hotpot with noodle(?) because I was worried that the portion wouldn't be filling enough for me hahaa!

 

Wah this is really QQ ultimatum! Especially so when it is prepared in the simplest way like this to enjoy the soup with!

 

I also ordered the Fish otah to share with mum and yx.

Did I menton that I was paying the bill that day?
You shouldn't be petty when it comes to your own mum and bff! :D

 

Spicy but too shiok to miss^^
I will definitely go back again just for this dish!

Shin Tokyo in Yewtee Point folded and is now taken over by Hotpot King.
Gotta give it a try with the family and we're there on its second day of opening hehs

You probably find the plates familiar to the ones in my Shin Tokyo post because the boss is the same funky uncle hahaa!

At least 6 different types of sauces available!
I ate alot mainly because of the sauces! I wanted to try it all *kiasu*
hahaa but I heard people saying the quality & all sucks now? So guess you won't see me back anymore! Even if it's just $13 per pax.

 

Ion Orchard

I have plans for a date w bf at Ion Orchard tmr!
Needa use my 50% off Burger King vouchers before September. Have I ever mentioned how amazingly wonderful+shiok it feels to exchange food with pieces of papars in the name of vouchers/coupons? hehehee

Took a lil more shots than usual of the mall on my first visit to Ion Orchard months back, because a new mall is so ohsonew and everything fun!

Damn you Bell's Palsy

Bell's palsy is a disorder of the nerve that controls movement of the muscles in the face. Damage to this nerve causes weakness or paralysis of these muscles. Paralysis means that you cannot use the muscles at all. Bell's palsy involves damage to the seventh cranial (facial) nerve. This nerve controls the movement of the muscles of the face. Bell's palsy is thought to be due to swelling (inflammation) of this nerve in the area where it travels through the bones of the skull. Sometimes you may have a cold shortly before the symptoms of Bell's palsy begin.

Bell's palsy I HATE YOU!
It's the worst illness I ever got because it ROBS ME OF MY ABILITY TO SMILE! What could be meaner than robbing a girl of her smile right! TSK )<

Here's a list(for easy reference/complaning hahaa!) of what I've lost/ suffered in the past weeks.

• Temporary paralysis on the left of my face

Resulting in me having difficulty with daily activities like eating, drink, talking, and smiling.

• Lost 2/3 of my sense of taste

Fish sucks at this period of time. The texture makes it so it's like I'm eating... road and cement?

• Swelling of my left face.
• Pain under the cheekbone, jaw, skull on the half of my face.
• Before the paralysis sets in, I have to endure a sharp pain from my neck to shoulder & a cold.

 

Symptoms differs for everyone. Not everybody will experience the above symtoms.
I'm just one of the sibehh suay kind who got almost all symptoms one could get from Bell's Palsy fml )':

But at least mine is rather mild, according to the doc, some serious cases causes people's features like the eyes and lip to droop! So I should be thankful yeah? hehs. & nope. I didn't cope myself at home and wallow in self pity lolol. I even went to town for shopping and gave out an invitation to my cousin to view my annoyingly unbalanced face! :x

 

Heart destroyer

In my heart destroyer knitted top, I strut the mall of The Cathay with my cousin last saturday!
Hahaa I miss her much. Been monthsssss since I last saw her & that girl still refuses to online msn when I'm free. Her photos are rotting in my lappy taking up precious space leh! mehhh 讨厌!

Sorry for the hiatus last week!

I've been one of the unlucky person out of thousands to be randomly stricken with a Bell's Palsy attack.
I'm recovering now, thus the courage to post this up hahaa (':

Bell's Palsy robs a person of their smile, partial ability of speech and daily tasks like eating, drinking, & brushing of teeth are made a challenge. I'll share more on this illness next time I guess. Afterall, this could happen to anyone, it's one of the illnesses in medical history that has no causes(?)

Hanabi Japanese Restaurant

Hello peeps!
I bought myself vouchers to a Buffet at Hanabi Japanese Restaurant!
Paid in advance, $27 per pax instead of the usual $40+. Pretty good deal ehh?

Loving my pink leopard prints phone case. It's furry to touch! *^^*

The buffet menu includes 118 different dishes to choose from!
Free flow sashimi but I forgot to order lol! I am soooooo going back again for my wicked dose of sashimi hehee!

This time, I only ordered a few safe dishes, wasn't very hungry that day ohwels.

Read reviews that the garlic fried rice is awesome.
Tried it, it's good. But I'm not a fan of fried rice in general hahaa

 

Tried some kimchi & shoyu ramen.
Didn't like any of them, especially the kimchi ramen!
It's like they added some kimchi straight from the fridge into the ramen and call it kimchi ramen? The kimchi taste is totally distant from the ramen )<

Smoked salmon salad

My ordered attempt at lightening my guilt for the sinful buffet :x

This is the day that I fell in love with avocado DEEPLY.
I have the salmon mango handroll to thank for.. The ingredients are all so fresh and works so well together the temaki is the best I've ever had, I'm sure! MUST ORDER if you're there at Hanabi's!

 

 

Chicken katsu curry rice.
Nothing special, but it's very nice. Definitely see myself ordering it again on my next visit (:

 

Hanabi Japanese Restaurant is located at Odeon towers, & it's sucha beautiful place! Just look at the picture please!
