Have anyone been following the news recently?
There are a rising cases of people, mostly youngsters, with eye problems such as infections. The board is concern and pinpoint the cause to contact lenses bought online. So there, it was on the news. It made my bf, my family, concern. Everybody in general because it's on the news.
The thing is, that problem has ALWAYS been there. There's ALWAYS the risk. As long as you take care of the lenses and your eyes, there shouldn't be any problems? If it hurts, just throw it away la, simple. I used to own a pair of GEO lenses which I got rid of after my second use because it hurts my eyes. After all, one of the online lenses purchase appeal is it's pocket friendly prices.
& now I'm banned from wearing colour contacts bought online. & I cannot defy my bf's 'order' because he's right in a sense. Those yearly lenses did not go through any quality or safety checks.
I don't want to worry people so I'll stop wearing those lenses, shall turn to uncomfortable locally bought + borring lenses for now. BUT I most definitely will go back to the yearly lenses someday again, because I'm wearing the EOS pink lenses and I must say it's the most comfortable pair of lenses I've ever worn. The monthly ones I bought locally had gave me problems like itching and swelling. )<
