There are times when I had to take a cab down to WestMall, some taxi uncles will commented:
"West Mall? Oh the mall at Bukit Batok huh? Heard it's small"
Cab uncles didn't even bother to check it out, that's how humble westmall is :x

 

Speaking of BukitBatok

Onboard the MRT, there'll be an automated "Next Station" audio to inform it's passengers of the next destination.
When "Next station: Bukit Batok" is announced,
while Foreigners might laugh because Batok sounds like Buttock,
Singaporeans laugh because they actually thought Batok is pronnounced as Buttock
