Peking Duck

Marmie got a friend who inherited her mum's shops.
& each shops rental per month earn her around 3k+?
So that friend just need to rest at home & money will 'miraculously' pour in every month.
But instead of idling at home, what better to way to live life to the fullest than traveling?!

The point is, her friend always bought mum food from other countries
That we might, sadly, never try ><!

This time, mum's friend bought her a peking duck
From a Peking duck shop which have one of the longest history behind it.

Mum heating it up by pouring down scoop after scoops of boiling oil

Till it became all cripsy!
Smells damn nice I swear!

Some sort of REALLY chewy wrap

and REALLY salty sauce to wrap the slices of duck in.

Are you hungry?

The skin is great!

It's effing thin as can be seen above & thus v v v cripsy :D

However, I don't like the meat. It didn't taste anything like what we had in Singapore.
Although it's sooooo fragrant, it's almost flavourless! @@

Behave yourself if you want some of ducky!
" YES! MDM! "

Overall, I don't like it. AT ALL.
Except for the skin. It's looks so yummy on screen though!
Feels so cheated ;x

Can't be helped, every country/religion has their own way of preparing food.
It might be unpalatable for me, but then it might be delectable for other at the same time.

I think Peking duck is very special !
It's like a contrast dish.

Flavourless(almost) duck flesh VS salty sauce
Cripsy skin VS chewy wrap.

Butbutbut!
I hvn even been to China before, so perhaps there are some really nice Peking duck out there that's more authentic & nicer than this? (:
