Friends

Someone asked me this today

 

You can only choose one.

Do you prefer to have many fair-weather friends, or just a few close friends?

 

For me, i'll definitely choose the latter.

 

If i need someone to talk to,

i'll definitely talk to my closest friend(s).

Or whom do i talk to? Among those fair weather friends of mine

Even if i were to talk to 'A', she/he might not even be interested in my woes.

much less solve my problems or make me feel better.

That person don't even know me well in the very first place.

 

If i've problems with my work etc.

I can approach those fair weather friends of mine,

& get them to help solve my problems.

Or i could turn to my close friends.

They'll make sure i understand the concept & not just let me copy blindly.

They might not know the answer, but at least they're willing to solve the problem with me.

 

Talking nicely & smiling to everyone.

Acting like you're okay when you weren't.

Entertaining different ppl on different days.

Having to be careful with my words,

It's such a tedious job.

I can't. It'll be too tiring for me.

 

I've crossed path with ppl like this.

Most are just hypocrites,

While others might be disliked by ppl who don't understand them well.

They attracted the wrong attention because of their behavior.

 

Relationships' a very complicated study.

Everybody has flaws no matter how much they yearn perfection,

or claim themselves to be.

Conflicts're bound to arise between human.

Family, friends, spouse etc.

Much efforts are required from both parties to build these bonds.

What if you're the one who's always making the extra effort?

Can you keep them up? For weeks, years, or even decades?

How much are you willing to commit?

 

I'm disappointed in a special someone.

Don't probe, i don't feel like mentioning.

& i know this'll pass.
